Businesses

When you consider the complex emotional demands placed on staffs who are dealing with deadlines, budgets, production schedules, agendas, sales quotas, resolving conflicts and meeting goals, it becomes obvious that support is needed. Our workshops provide a breath of fresh air, many successful coping mechanisms and long lasting relief from the stress involved in your demanding profession.

Emphasis is on Perception, Humor and Mental Health

The Team Builders workshops are especially important during these challenging and trying times. Work has evolved into perhaps the most demanding task that we all face. With emphasis on perception, humor, and mental health Team Builders provide useful material which is encouraging, uplifting and productive.

Differing Mind Styles Need Each Other

Dr. Richard and Karen Jensen bring home the message with resounding clarity. Whether they speak on the Gregorc Mind Styles, Stress Management, irrational beliefs or attitude, you will receive the message loud and clear. What makes this duo unique is that they have completely opposite Mind Styles. This allows them to illustrate as they present how differing Mind Styles need each other and can work together in harmony.

I have experienced dozens of conferences over my twenty-five years of teaching, from Roger Taylor at district TAG conferences to Hugh Downs at a Harvard media seminar, I would rank the usefulness of information and the joy of learning at Dr. Jensen's presentations in the top five of any I have had the privilege of attending.

(Title attributed to Kit Rainey, Southcoast Education District)

If you haven't encountered Dr. Anthony Gregorc's ideas, you have missed an opportunity to shed light on the mysteries of life. It's so easy to forget that other people may learn differently from the way you do. The knowledge of mind styles combines common sense, research, intuition and perception. Richard & Karen will provide you a stimulating look at the way our minds function.

Dr. Anthony Gregorc's Mind Style delineator will be presented with fact, humor and modeling by Dr. Richard and Karen Jensen. Research based information as to how and why we learn and interact as we do in our daily lives will be presented. It gives deep insight into ourselves as well as others we work and live with, leaving the audience with a greater appreciation of themselves and others.

The presentation consists of:

Part I: Sharing objectives, Defining terms, Administering the Delineator
Part II: Overview of the four Mind Styles and explanation of participants' Personal profiles
Part III: Relating the four Mind Styles to Team Building

The Holes in the Head Theory

Dr. Albert Ellis defines rational thought in a potentially life-changing manner. The basic emphasis is on the premise that stupidity is a human invention. Richard will share with you the 11 most common irrational beliefs in our culture. By determining these behaviors and beliefs you can find ways to identify and plug the "holes in your head". Because whether we admit it or not, we are all a little neurotic.

Attitude: it's Your Choice

The good, the bad, and the ugly attitude; where do you fall? Our greatest possession and our biggest homework assignment is our attitude. Have you given yourself too much latitude with your attitude? Richard will uncover ways that you can create a fun and positive attitude for a better life.
